Today was one of those moments in life that let you know whatever you have endured, it was all worth it. My son accompanied me on the final walk through of our home, as he had not yet seen it. As we approached the back patio doors and he looked, for the first time, over the pond, I saw his face. My tall boy, the one who I can barely reach to measure (6′ 3.5″) these days stood entranced by the beauty of nature that he so loves. He wandered outside for a time, while I tested the things on the massive checklist my daughter had compiled. Once done, I could barely ask him to leave for just another couple of days. Yes, it was all worth it.
